THE HOUSE: Much more spacious than anything else for rent at the same price! It's a beautifully kept heritage home; fully furnished, with a large modern extension which includes our biggest living space, kitchen and modern bathrooms, and internet.

YOUR BEDROOM: Big with excellent built-in wardrobes, good quality comfortable double bed. A comfortable, friendly feel with polished hardwood floors and plenty of natural light coming through the security windows from the garden outside. Towels, pillows, sheets and quilt can be provided.

LIVING SPACES: We have two separate living areas (one large, inc. Dining area and a bar, the other quiet and reflective), and RC air-conditioning. All furnished with all beautiful pieces that Mama Jen brought back after a decade living and working in Asia Pacific.

There is a fully equipped modern kitchen, pantry, dining space, two full bathrooms, both with shower and toilet and one with a bath too, and a big separate laundry with washing machine.

We have a lovely private lawned back garden, with a weber BBQ, and an outside dining area for summer days/ nights, a roll-up door garage and a shed for storage.

BATHROOMS
Three people plus any occasional guests will share two good sized bathrooms; one - with bath - is heritage style with modern fittings, the other is totally modern with shower. It is possible to have exclusive use of one of the bathrooms for a slightly higher weekly rental.

THE AMENITIES & SERVICES
Share of expenses can be negotiated, depending on the length of your stay. WiFi, electricity, gas and water will be a maximum of $20 more per week - or less, as the house has a lot of solar panels. Everyone does their own washing, and we share the cleaning (polished wooden floors and tiles are easy! ), gardening and other simple chores.

WHERE WE ARE
We are just north of Adelaide city - 5. 5 kilometres (3. 5 miles) - in a quiet, pretty street, with simple, fast bus connection to the city centre. Nearest bus stop is Stop 19 on Torrens Road - goes straight into city, with various routes stopping at Currie Street or King William Street. The house is 5 minutes from trendy Queen Street with its great shops, restaurants and cafes, and close to good supermarkets, plus bike/ walking trail, reiki, yoga and gym. We have a lovely park very close by, with great tennis courts, and lots of other facilities. A lot of neighbours bicycle to work or university.

WHO LIVES HERE
Sharing house with Mama Jen, who has just finished 10 years working/ volunteering in Asia Pacific region and now does catering, editing for PhD students and volunteering, another quiet guest, and one very special Abyssinian cat called Habibi (which means My Love). Habibi loves people, but won't bother you.

The kitchen is spacious enough for people to cook separate meals, but we're good cooks and often share a glass of wine, a meal and conversation. Every 3-4 weeks we have a Monday night dinner, each inviting friends if they like; Mama Jen cooks the main course and everyone contributes in some way.

WHAT HOUSEMATES ARE LOOKING FOR AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
We've had house mates from all over the world, and many different religions, and we like that interesting mix of cultures. We are looking for a friendly, tidy and easy going person, and preferably one who likes to cook and does a willing share of the chores. It doesn't matter what hours you work, but we keep the "sleeping end" of the house quiet if anyone is sleeping.
